I saw the 2025 Hugo Awards results today.

I decided I wanted to read the Best Novel, Best Novella and Best Novelette.

I already had ‘The Tainted Cup’ in my TBR. I found an audiobook version of ‘The Tusks Of Extinction‘ and added it. I’ll listen to both of them next week.

‘The Four Sisters Overlooking The Sea‘ was published in Asimov’s Science Fiction, September/October 2024, It’s 21 pages long. I read Brok3n‘s GoodReads review and found that Asimov’s have made a free pdf version of the story availabe HERE

I read it this afternoon. It’s a vivid tale of betrayal, revenge, seals and selkies. I recommend it to you. I found the betrayal outrageous and totally believable. The revenge was drastic but uplifting.

I’ve now added Naomi Kritzer’s latest novel, ‘Liberty’s Daughter’ to my wishlist.
