“Second Star – Star Svendotter #1” by Dana Stabenow – space adventure with Frontier spirit
“The Aeronaut’s Windlass – The Cinder Spires #1” by Jim Butcher – a wonderful, page-turning, imagination-expanding adventure
“The Harvesting” by Melanie Karsak – good ideas marred by shallow characters and romance clichés
“Relic” by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child – 1990’s horror/thriller about a beast in the Museum basement
“Dancing On The Head Of A Pin – Remy Chandler #2” by Thomas E Sniegowski
“A Trail Through Time – The Chronicles of St Mary’s #4” by Jodi Taylor – Max grows up in her new world
“Raising Steam – Discworld #40” by Terry Pratchett – good but…
“Soulless – The Parasol Protectorate #1” – A truly splendid entertainment for those with a taste for steampunk, urban fantasy, witty writing and a redoubtable, parasol wielding heroine.
