‘There’s A Point You Reach’ by Mike Finn

It’s a dull, wet, August day in England. My spirits are low. I’ve just cancelled my vacation abroad, reluctantly recognising it as reckless. My gutter is failing. My book is gloomy. And I… well I’d reached a point where I had to write.

So I offer this, with apologies for passing on my mood in this unsuccessful act of exorcism.
