This weekend, all I want to do is sit somewhere quiet, read a good book, eat good food and ignore all the things that I know I’ll need to start paying attention to again on Monday.

I’m turning this shameless self-indulgence into an achievement by picking two books that will get me closer to my first Halloween Bingo. 

The first book is my fifth visit with Charles and Anna in Patricia Briggs’ Alpha and Omega series. My second is Stephen Graham Jones’ latest book, published this month, which looks like it’s perfect for Halloween Bingo because it’s mystery draped with classic horror movie themes.
