This week I’m reading my last two books for Halloween Bingo and they’re both horror books with a twist that I’ve been saving up for the game.

For Supernatural I’ve found a novel which is the first book in a new series dealing with just about every supernatural creature you’ve heard of and yet, scary as they are, they’re not the Big Bad. It’s whatever is chasing them out of the shadows that we need to worry about.

For Genre Horror, I’ve picked a book that combines the classic something ancient and evil is out there and it’s coming for us, with a Kafkaesque scenario of young people imprisoned for a crime they didn’t know they’d committed.

Both of the authors, one American, one English, are new to me. Both of them write in more than one genre. I’m hoping that I’m going to love their books and…
