My wife and I saw ‘Thelma‘ at our local independent cinema this morning. There were five of us in the audience, not a one of whom was under sixty.
The film was a hoot, not because it was zany or slapstick but because it was honest about what it’s like to be old. Having that honesty echo my own experience made me laugh.
Surprisingly perhaps, it also has a plot with some real momentum behind it. The script and the acting were superb.
