When I wrote a post giving my thoughts on some of Edward Hopper’s paintings, I was told that Lawrence Block had produced a short story anthology called “In Sunlight Or In Shadow” inspired by Edward Hopper’s pictures. I thought that was a great idea and ordered a copy. Today I picked up the book from Waterstones.

It looks very noirish. The list of authors is impressive.
The reason I bought a physical copy is that each story is preceded by a print of the painting that inspired it.

I think they look great. I’m looking forward to spending a lot of time with this book.
My thanks to Rose and to Char for making me aware that this book existed.
