This morning my wife waved her iPad at me and said, ‘You have to listen to this. You’ll love the lyrics’ and that’s how I found myself listening to a song by Baby Queen, aka Bella Latham, a twenty-four-year-old, South African-born London-based, alt pop singer songwriter, and going: I remember feeling exactly like that.
The song is about being seen as a Buzzkill at parties because she has ‘a sadness that I can’t console’ and has thoughts like:
“flaws don’t make you special, they just make you flawed,”
“What doesn’t kill you makes you wish that it had”
Take a listen. Maybe it will resonate for you too.
